We offer customers a choice of 12 different water-activated pipe repair kits, which are designed to repair pipes ranging in size from 25 mm (1 inch) to 250 mm (10 inches). All kits include the following items:
Water Activated Pipe Repair Tape (kits for larger pipes have additional bandages)1 x 75mm x 22mm Epoxy Metal Putty for Leak Sealing
- 1 x 25mm x 3 metres Silicone Compression Tape
- 1 x Strip of Emery Cleaning Tape
- 1 x Alcohol Cleaning Wipe
- 2 x Pair of Nitrile Gloves
- Full Application Instructions
Our pipe leak repair kits can be used for pipe leak repairs as a temporary fix or permanent repair up to a maximum working pressure of 10bar/ 145psi. They can be applied to virtually any material including steel, cast iron and plastic. Using our water-activated pipe wrap repair kits is simple:
- Put on gloves
- Clean, abrade and degrease the pipe surface using the cleaning tape
- Use alcohol cleaning wipe on pipe surface
- Soak the bandage in water, in accordance with instructions
- Wrap pipe in the bandage
- Wrap with silicone compression tape
The bandage will full harden in 30 minutes at 20°C (slightly longer if the temperature is lower). It forms a hard and very durable water proof barrier stopping the leak in its tracks.
