At CPRL we try to simplify this. Our chemical resistant bund lining services include a small range of effective bund products that are suitable for almost all applications and environments. The epoxy-based formulation is high performance, durable and cost-effective. This formulation provides outstanding protection against common chemical compounds from caustic fluids, fuels, acids and salts.

Typically, these bund coating products are used in environments such as chemical and printing works, bottling and canning factories, pharmaceutical production, water treatment works, oil storage and refineries, although this is not limited. A protective coating is provided to concrete, steel and masonry bund and containment vessels in almost all types of industrial and commercial facilities and buildings.

 CPR 612 – Bund Coat 2

• Chemical Resistant is used as a waterproof, tough, chemical resistant coating for concrete and other substrates and is particularly suitable for chemical resistant bunds.

 CPR 614 – Bund Coat 3

• This product is typically used as an internal bund wall lining for concrete or steel storage tanks and chemical bunds in industries such as chemical and printing works, bottling and canning factories, pharmaceutical production, water treatment works, oil refineries, etc.
• A full range of Ral & BS colours are available upon request.
• Bund Coat 3 is a rapid curing, two-pack, solvent-free epoxy coating with outstanding resistance to aggressive acids, solvents and alcohols, e.g., 96-99% Sulphuric Acid, Methyl Ethyl Ketone and Methanol.
• A coat of CPR 401 – Concrete Primer – Epoxy WB is recommended on absorbent concrete surfaces (apply in accordance with CPR 401 – Concrete Primer – Epoxy WB datasheet).
• For steel substrates, CPR 614 – Bund Coat 3 may be applied directly (see also surface preparation advice)
• Apply by brush, short pile roller or airless spray at a nominal rate of 0.3 to 0.5kg/m² per coat, depending on the overall dry film thickness required.
• Should a non-slip finish be required, then a broadcast of graded Quartz or Aluminium Oxide shall be made immediately after the first coat.
