Description
Epoxy Grout
CPR 727 – Epoxy Grout is a three pack, pourable, resin based grout with high mechanical strength. It consists of a combination of formulated resin and specially graded fillers which produce a high
performance, free-flowing resin grout for gap widths between 5 – 40mm.
Typical Properties
- High Strength
- Very good flow properties
- Excellent mechanical properties
- Very good chemical & weather resistance
- Minimum creep
- No primer required, excellent adhesion
- Pre-weighed components for ease of use
Direction For Use
Surface Preparation
- Concrete substrates shall be sound, clean and free from dust, dirt, grease, oils, laitance and other contaminants.
- A roughened or profiled surface will ensure optimum adhesion.
- Mild steel and other metallic substrates shall be degreased, power wire brushed or grit blasted and vacuumed free from dust.
- Other substrates shall be sound, clean and free from dust, dirt, grease, oil and any oxidised surface layer.
Mixing
- CPR 727 – Epoxy Grout is supplied as a 3 pack material: BASE component, CURING AGENT component and the FILLER component.
- Mix the BASE and CURING AGENT components under mechanical stirring, and gradually blend the FILLER into the mixed resin components for 1-2 minutes.
Application
- Pour the mixed grout from one side, ensuring a sufficient hydrostatic, ‘head of grout’ is created to achieve the desired flow.
- Where multiple mixes are required to fill the void ensure that no delay occurs between mixes.
- Do not vibrate the material.
Curing
- CPR 727 – Epoxy Grout will be hard dry following 4 – 6 hours cure @ 20°C.
- At higher temperatures this period will be reduced and at lower temperatures this period will be increased.
- Allow 7 days for optimum mechanical properties and full chemical resistance.
Equipment Cleaning
- Clean equipment with CPR 201 – Tool Clean Solvent prior to curing of the coating.
Limitations
- Do not apply to wet or uncured concrete surfaces.
- Do not apply at temperatures of 5°C or less.
Coverage
- A 26Kg pack will yield 12.5 Litres of mixed grout
