Clear Resin Bound Sealer

CPR 901 – Clear Resin Bound Sealer is a two pack, thixotropic, clear Epoxy sealer which provides a glossy, tack free, finish that is effectively non-yellowing under the influence of UV light. The product cures rapidly and is a versatile, chemical resistant sealer for resin based stone carpets or Epoxy screeds. The thixotropic consistency of the of the material reduces consumption rates, and provides an even, sealed surface.

Directions for Use

Surface Preparation

• Ensure surface is dry, clean, and free from contaminants.
• Ensure the Epoxy resin screed is sufficiently well cured, and free from contaminants.

Mixing

• Pour the contents of the CURING AGENT container into the BASE container and thoroughly mix, preferably by mechanical means until a uniform consistency is achieved.
• Allow to stand for 2 – 3 minutes prior to application.

Application

• Apply by brush, roller or squeeze to the prepared surface at a nominal rate of 0.5 – 1kg/m².
• Should a second coat be required, allow the first coat to cure for a minimum period of 10 hours @ 20°C.
• CPR 901 – Clear Resin Bound Sealer may be applied with a squeegee until refusal, then ‘back rollered’ using a short pile lambswool roller to remove the excess.
• Should a matt finish be preferred, then a coat of CPR 902 PU Screed Sealer may be applied subsequently.

Equipment Cleaning

• Clean equipment with CPR 200 – Tool Clean Solvent  prior to curing of the resin.

Curing

• Allow to cure a minimum of 10 hours @ 20°C before
• opening to foot traffic, and 24 hours @ 20°C prior to vehicular traffic.

Storage and Shelf Life

• Store in dry conditions, out of direct sunlight, at temperatures between 10°C and 25°C.
• CPR 901 – Clear Resin Bound Sealer has a minimum shelf life of 12 months shelfwhen stored in original, unopened containers in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.

Packaging

• CPR 901 – Clear Resin Bound Sealer in 5kg packs.

Coverage

• Coverage: 0.5 – 1kg/m² (depending on nature of surface)

Technical Data

• Appearance: Clear liquid/paste of low odour.
• Pot Life: 25-30 minutes @ 20°C
• Tack free time: 6 hours @ 20°C
• Hard dry time: 10 hours @ 20°C
• Full chemical resistance: 7 days @ 20°C
• Excellent resistance to dilute acids and resistance: alkalis, oil, petrol, diesel, vegetable oils.

Limitations

• Do not apply at temperatures of less than 3°C

Health and Safety

• Avoid contact of the material with skin and eyes.
• Wear gloves and goggles.
• Wash off splashes immediately with soap and water.
• Any eye contamination must be rapidly irrigated with copious amounts of clean water, and immediate medical attention sought.

• CPR 901 – Clear Resin Bound Sealer shall be applied strictly in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
